I must know the high-performers I'm coaching. They must know me. We can't dig deep without mutual trust and relationship. So let me tell you about me ... and I hope we meet soon so that you can tell me about you.
My name is Coach Brett Blair.
I once was ...
A kid with a dream. I dreamed about one day writing a book. I wanted to own my own business, invent something, somehow change the world. I loved working with people - they brought me energy.
A young-adult with a poor decision. It became time to choose a degree. I then made a big life mistake. This people-loving young man, with great big goals and dreams, chose to be…..an Industrial Engineer. I shut down my childhood aspirations for a secure paycheck.
A man with a life he thought he needed. I got married, raised a faimily and got my MBA. I started climbing the corporate ladder.
A 45-year-old with no sense of purpose. Twenty years went by, like that. I had a great career, great family, good health, nice house, cars, boat, club membership – all the trappings of a great life, right? But I knew something was wrong.
A corporate employee with spinning wheels. At work, I was on a treadmill, running faster and faster, but going nowhere at all. I couldn’t connect my efforts at the office to meaningful outcomes. I started to question the meaning of my life.
Maybe this was a typical mid-life crisis, but I knew that something had to change. One day I woke up, at 4:00 in the morning, with a clarity – a knowing - that I was going to quit that job. I felt a weight lift off my shoulders, and I couldn’t wait to tell everyone about it!
I now am ...
An awakened entrepreneur. I moved from autopilot to my version of authentic. I started an executive recruiting firm, and loved being self-employed. I loved working with people every day. I reconnected to the passions that I dreamed of as a small child.
A high-performer wanting to perform even higher. I did a smart thing, and hired a life coach. Dr. Tom Hill entered my life, and his teachings and the habits I’ve developed since then have launched me to the next level.
A business owner wanting to help others grow continuously. I find so many who are on their own version of a treadmill of a life. I also encounter people who have thrown away the treadmill (or perhaps never ran on it) and are successful and healthy, and wanting to be even moreso. They want to grow their businesses, but also care about improving spiritually, relationally, physically, emotionally, professionally and/or financially.
An opportunity-seeker with the tools for growth. Like many whom I meet, I craved resources, accountability, tools and processes for performing at sustainably high levels. So I learned them, I found them, and I applied them. And I have a passion for passing these along.
A world changer wanting to help you live your best life, for the rest of your life.
